Sefija Hušić in a wheelchair with her young son

Steps for Sefija (Koraci za Sefiju)

A humanitarian campaign by the Glavic Clinic Foundation · 4 August – 15 September 2026 · Registration code: DNŽ-HA/REH-26-1

Sefija Hušić from Velika Kladuša (Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a single mother of two young sons. After a severe brain haemorrhage she was left unable to walk, fully dependent on a wheelchair and the help of others. After reviewing her medical records, the clinical team confirmed that Sefija is a candidate for intensive robotic neurorehabilitation — with a real potential for recovery.

Thanks to donations from the Foundation’s supporters, Sefija has already been granted a complete programme of 190 robotic neurorehabilitation therapies in Zagreb, together with accommodation for the duration of the programme. What her family cannot cover on their own are the basic costs of her stay: meals during the programme, local transport in Zagreb, additional medical examinations where indicated (a neurologist’s examination, a brain MRI with angiography) and residence fees.

The goal of this campaign is to raise €1,500 so Sefija can complete the programme — and take her first steps towards an independent life.
